Free Children’s Halloween Party at Benson-Crump Community Gardens

    4:00 PM-6:00 PM
    October 24, 2025

    Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens
    on North Street

Free 6th Annual Halloween Parade & Fall Celebration

    PLEASE COME AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!

Fall is here and that means that it is time for our annual Halloween Parade & Fall Celebration at the North Street Community Gardens.

This year’s parade is on Friday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 6 pm.

(Raindate will be Sat., Oct. 25 from 11 am to 1 pm)

Our community gardeners dress up in costume and stand in their plots to hand out candy to all of our Trick or Treaters.  The more folks we have dressing up & giving out candy, the more fun it is!  We anticipate about 75 kids this year so bring your grandkids, siblings, cousins and great grandkids and join the fun!

The Halloween Parade up & down the garden plots begins promptly at 4 pm, followed by…

    * Fun Halloween Selfies with scarecrows, * horse-drawn wagon rides with Farmer Brian from Maple View Farm over on the soccer field,

    * free apples for young trick or treaters, *yummy ice cream from the Walnut Beach Creamery truck with owner & community gardener Susan Patrick

    * and awesome taped music for our Dance Party that will round out the event.

This year, we are running a coat drive and dry/canned food drive for two charities that help many struggling families: St Gabe’s and Beacons of Hope. Please help us to help them by dropping off a used coat/jacket that you don’t need anymore and canned

or dry goods such as peanut butter, ground coffee, stuffing, Knorr sauces, gravy, instant potatoes, apple sauce, canned vegetables, etc., when you come to the parade.

Hope to see you all!! Happy Fall!!
