8/14/23 UPDATE:  Caroline Chesson has beautifully updated her Google Maps overlay project, and our signs have been sent to the printer for production!  Once the signs are received they will go to Milford Public Works for their installation!

At tonight’s WBA meeting, Dr. Courtney Holmes, owner and medical director at Milford Med Spa was presented with the original copies of the artwork on loan for display at their location at 99 Cherry St., Suite F, in Milford.

We couldn’t be more proud to have such great community partners here in Milford and in Walnut Beach!

6/30/23 UPDATE…

6/28/23 UPDATE:  Thanks to our community funds raised, today we purchased the original artwork and the rights to publish it from artist Dorie Petrochko.  This will allow us to recreate the signage for the public!

As a special thank you to Milford Med Spa as “Osprey Tier Donors,” we will present them with this artwork on loan for display in their office at our next meeting!

New, Unique Signs Pitched For Popular Milford Beach | Milford, CT Patch

Our community fundraiser has reached it’s goal!  Thank you to our entire community for coming together to support this amazing project.  I personally am humbled and honored by my neighbors and supporters.  Much love for you all!

Matching donations for additional Environmental and Beautification efforts are still being accepted, and will be used locally in Walnut Beach.

5/12/23 UPDATE:  Shout-out to Milford Med Spa for their Osprey Tier Contribution! As our thank you, Milford Med Spa will be loaned the amazing original painting of our signs, sharing our beautiful beach with patrons and neighbors in their office!

This project will replace the environmental education signs at Walnut Beach, and will even add a few more linking to an interactive environmental walk along our Boardwalk.  If we can raise $1,500 from at least 20 different community donors, SustainableCT will match!

Even if you can’t donate, please share!  Again check out Patronicity.com/WalnutBeachSignProject to help.  Thank you!
