The 15th and final Mackenzie’s Beach Clean Up was a smashing success, with hundreds of volunteers coming out to help make Walnut Beach and Silver Sands as beautiful as possible for the upcoming beach season!  And the next time you’re at Walnut Beach, visit Mackenzie’s Beach Cleanup Kiosk, installed in honor of Mackenzie and all her efforts.  Help her dream and pick up some litter 🙂

Starting at the age of just four years old Mackenzie has been a strong advocate for keeping litter off of our beaches.

2023 marked the 15th and final year of this event.  In recognition of how much this young woman has done to make her childhood dream of clean beaches come true, a Mackenzie’s Beach Clean Up Public ceremony was held declaring May 6th, 2023 Mackenzie’s Beach Cleanup Day in the City of Milford.

Thank you to Mackenzie’s Beach Clean Up Sponsors: Milford Professional Fire Fighters Local 944, the Walnut Beach Association, The Clean the Earth Project, Home Depot of Stratford, and Garbo Grabber, who supplied their patented trash collectors, the Beaches of West Shore start the summer season with a clean bill of health.

And thanks to Mackenzie and her family for all they have done for our community!
